The food is typically okay and the kids working there are generally personable. Often it looks as though there is more food on the dining room floor than you might find in the kitchen.

We go here at least once a year with our grandparents. The service is always super slow, but the food is always good. The fish is by far the best part. Although this last time they were completely out of most of the fish and we had to re order. But most likely will go back again next year .

Good place for breakfast (only been for it) at very reasonable prices. Great nostalgic photos and pictures on the walls.

Best priced breakfast restaurant I've ever been to! Simple breakfast items, very good, like homemade for such a great price (ex. 2 egg/fried egg sandwich is $2.55) !! Amazing! Busy place, clean, friendly staff! It is a must for breakfast in Port Dover.

Fair prices and food is fair as well

Service was good and breakfast was alright. But those of us who had sausages in our breakfast felt somewhat sick afterwards. :( My brother had bacon and he was fine (and he has the most sensitive stomach ever).

Food was good and price fantastic however wait staff was not the friendliest and basic bacon and eggs took 40 minutes. To be fair, it was Canada Day and very busy before the parade. Will definately try it again on a normal day.

Very tired looking. No proper signage to show available ice cream. More a diner than dairy bar. No atmosphere. Would not go back. Needs updating

I pre ordered a perch dinner for 12:00 they told me not a problem. I showed up at 12:00 and had to waite 10 minutes. It was $18.00 so i give them $20.00 and said keep the tip. I took the fish home which was 15 to 20 minutes away and it was ice cold like they took it out off the fridge and was like it was par deep fried. I ate 1.5 peaces and threw the rest out! It ttasted like a doe ball.🤨

The sundae we ordered was alright, but service and atmosphere were not. First thing when we walked in, everyone glared at us like we had done something wrong just by existing. Then once we seated ourselves it took a while for a waitress to come, who seemed equally annoyed by the fact that we were there. She was rude did only the bare minimum service.The waitresses spent most of their time chit-chatting with the regulars, and I can guarantee all the good reviews are just from regulars who get special treatment. Will not be going again.

Staff is great. A friendly store that has a wide variety of items at great prices.

Love this place. I go here everytime I'm in Dover visiting family. Staff is always friendly, prices are reasonable, and food is good, but it is nothing fancy. I would say it's more of a locals diner than a tourist attraction. 5 stars because I'm never disappointed!

My husband and son had breakfast there today. They were finished their coffee BEFORE their breakfast arrived. The waitress NEVER came back to offer them a second cup.

We were told this place has the most selection of ice cream in Port Dover (2 freezers worth so about 16 types). 2 kids ice creams was $6.37. Interior felt you were in a sports bar from 1980.

Loved this diner! Food was tasty and simple (in a good way) and very affordable. Felt like the service wasn't too attentive to the tourists as people who appeared to be regulars easily were able to get a top up on their coffee. You can definitely tell this a favourite spot for the locals - just the kinds of diners I like to eat at.
